Healthy diet
Excessive weight is associated with hypertension, heart disease, stroke and diabetes among other diseases. Weight is gained when energy (calories) intake exceedes energy consumption. For example, a person weighing 60kgs requires 1500 calories per day to maintain his body weight. Below is a simplified list of things you can do do manage your weight.
Eat small amount of food.
Half of your plate should be vegetables.
The remaining half should be equally divided between proteins and carbohydrates.
Take your meals on regular schedule and avoid sugary snacks.
Drink at least 2 liters of water per day.
